The Il'khan Voices

An ancient Il'khan painting depicting a Voice in a debate,
recovered from a cave in a valley near Krozloy.
The Il'khan Voices, usually referred to simply as the Voices, are a diplomatic council in the King's Court. The Voices often go on the more perilous missions for the King. The Voices are not often at home for long, as there is much work to be done in securing the nation. Unlike the Council of Warriors or the King himself, there is no time for the accumulation of personal wealth, as the affairs of state are far more than enough to consume all of their free time. Occasionally, however, as other Il'khan settle into 'lulls' in which the horde focuses on spawning and training, the Voices enter the realms of nearby enemies to commit espionage, theft, assassinations, and even purpose trade treaties. However, first and foremost, a Voice is loyal to the crown.
The Voices are appointed by the King, and stay in that position until dismissed, killed, or they ascend unto throne as King himself. At any time, the King may select a new Voice to fulfill an open position or to replace an old one. These appointment are not checked by any council, as the Voice is a position of loyalty rather than service.
